Learning to Excel
Our enrichment courses:
- Are a supplemental educational opportunity that complement our core curriculum
- Are offered year-round, in four-week units
- Are taught in small groups with lessons tailored to children's learning skills and style
- Offer time to practice challenging concepts
- Include 20 to 30 minutes of instruction per session, depending on the subject
- Use customized games, books and activities to motivate learners. We keep you current on your child's progress through ongoing dialogue with teachers and daily notes describing each lesson.

Math Adventures
Children are most receptive to learning mathematics concepts and skills, such as logical thinking, computation and problem-solving techniques, during the early years. Developed for children ages three and up, Math Adventures™ sessions build a strong foundation for future math learning and turn the fear of math into a love of learning.

A Sum Greater Than Its Parts
The Journey
Exposure to logical thinking and fundamental skills in math helps children achieve greater success throughout their school career. Your child will explore a number of important math concepts, including:
- Number recognition, counting, addition and subtraction
- Recognizing, comparing and drawing two- and three-dimensional shapes
- Measuring quantities and distances, such as volume, weight and length, using standard and nonstandard units
- Classifying and sorting objects, along with matching and identifying patterns
- Learning how to organize, represent and interpret data

Lessons Learned
With the Math Adventures program, your child will develop skills and learn computation of basic mathematics, logical thinking and problem-solving techniques. Phonics Adventures
A love of reading will blossom while your child is enrolled in Phonics Adventures™ classes. Designed to complement the core academic curriculum of our centers, Phonics Adventures is an exciting way to build a solid foundation for recognizing, writing, and comprehending letters, sounds and words.
Ideal for children ages three and older, our hands-on, research-based approach helps your child build the foundation for a lifetime of academic success.

Lessons Learned
The take-home Phonics Adventures kit contains a puppet, alphabet book, activity book, writing journal and other materials. This kit prepares your child for daily literacy exploration. Whether writing his or her name, letters or everyday words, your child will learn to recognize rhymes, sounds within words, and to express ideas.
After each session, you will receive detailed information regarding the progress of your child's learning adventure.
Reading Adventures
Literacy enrichment programs help children experience success in reading. Our Reading Adventures™ program is an exciting, challenging enrichment program that advances reading skills in areas such as comprehension, vocabulary and fluency, through fun and engaging activities.
Our research-based program is ideal for children ages five and older. Reading Adventures encourages a lifelong love of reading and gives your child a head start on the future.
An Adventure at Every Turn of the Page

Through fun hands-on experiences, your child will learn a variety of important skills, including:
- How to apply the short- and long-vowel sound when reading words
- Recognizing commonly used words that cannot be sounded out

Spanish Adventures
The best time to learn a foreign language is during the early years when a young mind is open to language acquisition. Speakers of two or more languages have better communication skills, read more books and have an easier time learning additional languages. Learning a foreign language at a young age supports development in other areas.
Our Spanish Adventures™ sessions offer children ages four and older the opportunity to build Spanish vocabulary and expressive abilities.
Removing Barriers of Communication

- Learning Spanish words for colors, numbers, greetings, family members, anatomy, pets, clothes and farm animals
- Hearing Spanish spoken fluently

Music Adventures
Music improves your child's memory, cognitive development, learning skills and ability to express emotion. It also makes your child a better learner, teaches self-control, improves coordination, and inspires a lifelong appreciation of music and movement. Our exclusive Music Adventures™ program provides your child with a foundation that can be used for years to come.
Our Music Adventures program was specifically designed to balance the academic curriculum of our centers, while reinforcing your child's love of musical activities.
Creativity Never Sounded So Good
The Journey
Our research-based program demonstrates how positive experiences with music help children "tune in" to visual, auditory and physical stimuli, and focus attention. Your child will enjoy an array of fun musical activities through one of our two age-appropriate programs.
In ABC Music & Me™, your two- to four-year-old will:
- Make, listen, and learn about music in a multi-sensory experience
- Learn early music concepts such as loud and quiet, high and low
- Practice listening and attention skills
In Music Adventures, your four- to six-year-old will:
- Be introduced to musicians and composers, songs and styles from a variety of genres, such as jazz, classical and folk
- Experience music vocabulary, pre-music reading, and more complex musical concepts
- Have fun, guided, ensemble-style opportunities for vocal exploration, movement and instrument play
- Be introduced to piano keyboard skills
Lessons Learned
Music Adventures sessions stimulate your child's brain, forming neural pathways in all domains of learning: cognitive, emotional, social and physical. Using our educational tools, games and activities, he or she will be able to explore music to its fullest.
Your child will receive a take-home Music Adventures kit containing a magazine, CD and instrument (every other month) to make music even more exciting.
After each class, the teacher will provide a note about your child's learning adventure.
Active Adventures
Studies show that 80 percent of children in the United States are too sedentary and do not get proper nutrition. Created exclusively for our centers, Active Adventures™ sessions use movement and nutrition education to build health-conscious habits at an early age. With a focus on interaction and teamwork, your child will blossom in this fun group setting.
Research overwhelmingly shows that physical activity programs have positive effects on academic achievement. This makes the Active Adventures program the perfect complement to the academic environments of our centers, and aligns with the standards and guidelines set forth by the National Association for Sport & Physical Education® (NASPE®).

Developed for children ages four and older, Active Adventures offers a wide range of dynamic and challenging experiences, including:

Lessons Learned
Our fitness tools, games and activities help your child learn the benefits of staying healthy and fit. Every four weeks, your child will receive a take-home fitness/nutrition product and materials that help make learning fun in our centers and at home! After each class, the teacher will provide an individualized note detailing the progress of your child's Active Adventure session.
